Photography book

Hey guys, looking to make a birthday gift for my friend. I heard she into photography now, so I am looking for a good beginner's book. I don't believe she has a real camera though. So I am just looking for good book suggestion about how to choose the best angle, lighting, etc. Please, advise I would really appreciate any help ;) gotta keep friend happy lol
