An occurring pattern in Kid Cudi's hooks

I was doin some reading on what makes a hook great: simplicity & tying the whole song together. The catchier, the better. I started to look at some of my favorite songs and sure enough, the majority of them were disgustingly catchy, simple and tied the song together. And of course, the hooks were usually my favorite part of the songs, as is with most listeners. Id argue a great hook is the most important aspect to nail in a song.

2 cudi songs in and I noticed he does a little something that makes the hook even more simple and easy to sing along to. He often repeats the same word in his hook. Now im not saying he repeats the actual hook or repeats a phrase of the hook, he does that, but so does everybody else, thats natural. im sayin he repeats a single word or two in the same phrase. important to note they arent adlibs either. heres some examples

Just what I Am: Can you get me high y'all? I wanna get high y'all. I-I-I wanna get high y'all, Need it need it to get by y'all, Can you get me high y'all?

Pretty Girls: I see pretty girls everywhere I go, Every, everywhere I go, every, everywhere I go

Up Up & Away: I'll be up up and away, up up and away, Cause they gon' judge me anyway so whatever.

Day & Night: The lonely loner, Seems to free his mind at night, At, at, at night. (and in the verse) You won't hear a peep, peep, The girl he wants, Don't seem to want him too, It seems the feelings, That she had are through, through.

Erase Me: She said: I keep on running, keep on running, And nothing works, I can't get away from you, no, I keep on ducking, keep on ducking you, nothing helps, I can't stop missing you.

those are just a few examples, im sure theres more. obviously he doesnt do it on every song, I'd say maybe 40-50 %, but its no coincidence his most popular songs use this technique. & im sure theres many more artists who do this, cudi's just the first Ive noticed making it a re-occurring theme.
