[DIPLOMACY] Mexico Leaves the Convention of Cluster Munitions!
Mexican Executive Office in joint with DOD
As we have looked at the defence of Mexico and the situation in other nation's that are in the realm of hurting our nation, we have long taken note of Argentina and Brazil not having signed the Convention on Cluster Munitions back in 2008. These two nations being the major military developers in the URSA, we feel we are at a weakness in this and must be able to fight fire with fire. Our nation has made the decision to leave the convention as a matter of national security. Our DOD, Security force, members in our intelligence community and Senate security council members all feel cluster munitions can be used well against the rapidly growing URSA tank fleet in droves and can be an important way of dealing with URSA aggression on our lands.
We will be mainly working with MLRS systems for cluster munitions as our nation feels that we do not need to create plane carried cluster munitions as we do not feel these are nearly as effective. Our nation will use these sparingly however and will pledge to only use these against URSA aggression if war is to break out. Our DOD will be doing research into these systems over the next few months and we expect to have a system ready in an MLRS platform within the decade.
