Bastl Kastle as part of a portable hiking rig?

I'm curious about portable synth rigs for hiking. I'm talking 100% battery powered, and easily carried in a backpack.

The obvious solutions that come to mind are the Volcas (already have a Beats, not really interested in Keys or Bass, and FM and Sampler confuse me), or the OP-1, since they're all self contained with their own speakers and such.

That all feels a little too cut and dry for my liking, my heart is pushing me to something weirder. Along the lines of: A Bastl Kastle, a miniture guitar amp that can run on batteries, and a 9volt powered mixer, in addition to some Fx pedals I have floating around.

I curious if anybody has any experience with a similar rig (in concept if not the same components).

Is this a feasible endeavor, or am I just digging myself into a hole?
