Wtf is the point of Ciphers now?

I've always hated the QTE hacking it's not that they are very hard but I just takes me out of the FPS part of the game that I enjoy. So I made a "shitload" of Ciphers to make up for it. I thought "hey it's nice the devs put in an alternate to a mechanic some might find frustrating." Ciphers for me made game modes like Spy somewhat worth my time... but now you simply can't not use them on those missions and the only use seems to be on hacking alarms on lower difficulty missions.

So now I ask why the hell do we even need Ciphers when the only things we're allowed to use them on are on the easiest QTEs.
