Account Recovery Assistance

So I was downloading an update for the app which spanned 11 MB in total. My phone went into sleep mode while downloading the update, and the game gave me "file write error 3" due to the download stream being interrupted. Tried restarting the app but it didn't work several times, seemed that the only solution was to redownload. I did, and of course my character data is now reset and the game is trying to start me over. Is there ANY way i can recover my account and continue playing. I have a lot of progress that I would hate to lose, any advice will be greatly appreciated.
