Spintech motors

Question

I just got a set of these Spintech motors last night to replace the stock motors in my E010. Previously, my little micro was severely underpowered and I really couldn't understand how people were breaking their frames so often. Upgrading the motors made such a huge difference.

I don't have anything to compare it to, but I went from barely being able to keep it in the air to flying too fast to control. (I don't have a lot of experience flying). I did time how long it took to lose power and I was flying for at least 3minutes before it didn't have enough power to get off the ground. I checked battery life after and it was at ~3.7v. I was using the Eachine 150mah batteries that came with the E010. I'll try the 200mah batteries I got after the cracked frame gluing dries.

These motors are a lot louder than the stock ones, part of it I'm guessing is just the sound of them spinning faster, but they are also a bit rattly. Again, this might be normal for motors this fast since I don't have much experience with it.

I started flying yesterday with my crappy E010 controller (still using stock FC) and it wasn't too bad. I realized I had to fix the right stick since it couldn't get full range of motion. I did that which added about 20% more throw to go forward and that extra bit made it go faster than I was good at controlling. I now have a few broken struts and 3 replacement frames (the E010S kind) on order from Banggood.

A shoutout to u/spintech who sent me the motors to try out. The price of $17 for 6 motors seems pretty good assuming they hold out well.

EDIT: i do want to clear one thing up. the stock motors would fly and i would get a decent time out of them, usually at least 5 minutes. but they didn't have much thrust with the weight of the TX01 camera on it and if i tried to fly forward with too much angle (usually after hitting the left shoulder button), there wasn't enough thrust to keep it in the air and it would hit the floor. if i was ever flying and cut the throttle too much that it started dropping, i couldn't stop it from hitting the floor either.
