So I just listened to the remastered version of Californication (song) and I'm wondering if anyone thinks the same as me.

I compared the remastered and original, I never really understood what people meant when they said it the whole album was badly mastered but I could see it in the single Californication. The remastered version just sounded a lot more cleaner. But.... I still think the original is better, Californication was realeased in 1999 and the original has a more vintage feel and sound it to it which adds to the charm especially when viewed with the old school gaming video clip (considering how much games have evolved). The only bad things I can think of is the bass and backing vocals had to be clearer. You can hear like a feedback in the og but like I said it adds to the charm, the fact that the song is played with a 1950 gretsch white falcon an instrument that goes way back is also a reason I don't like the remaster, it's just too clean for an instrument that should have a vintage sound. I've only listened to californication but not the rest of the album so I can't say the same for all the songs. What do you guys think?
