Thread of the Week: All Accessory Discussion/Critique

Welcome. This is checked regularly.

Link to the last one

Here are some general questions/things I usually ask myself when reading for critiques (not all of them):

1.) Is there enough back volume to counteract all the pushing movements? (This includes rear delt/ facepulls)

2.)Is there any direct tricep work? (This is a popular one that usually sometimes people forget)

3.) Frequency of muscles being at least 2x. (Mostly looking (in this order) for back frequency, rear delt frequency, shoulders, triceps, abs, biceps, chest)

4.) check for overall volume?

FAQs:

Do accessory order matter?

Not really unless you feel like one might tire you out before the rest and you want to give your strength more to that one. Short answer: no

What is considered high volume for accessory routine?

Anything more than 4 accessory picks per day. High volume generally is 4-6.

What are some suggestions to help with all the pressing?

Facepulls, rows, chin-ups/pull-ups

Now here are some 4 day routine examples:

1.) Simple routine with all bases covered with a bit volume

2.)Simple template. Just add Face-pulls to day 2&4 and Triceps to day 1

5 day example:

1.)Good simple volume one

2.)High volume with good amount of leg work

3.) Unique One focusing on growing arms (usually highlight one a week that is targeting arms as a weakpoint)

4.)4 days of Chin-ups/Pull-ups and accessories

5.)3 days of Chin-ups/Pull-ups and accessories

6 day

1.)Simple example

2.)Deadlift example one

Cap3 example

Again all accessory questions, discussions, etc goes here. I will still be reading this till a new thread is made. As of now, there isn't. As we are currently doing a success story thread of the week
