I like to just bum around in CAS and create sims without actually doing anything with them. For a while I've noticed that upon saving the household you HAVE to move the household into a home before you can do ANYTHING else. Does anyone know of a way around this? It's driving me crazy!!

Yes after the update a bunch of things got messed up. Not only bugs but how the opening screen works with entering CAS or play etc. I can't seem to find a way to enter cas without loading a new game or choosing the create a new family to move in when clicking on an empty house. I would love to hear if anyone had a solution to this. I haven't noticed your problem yet but I mostly use cas and save my sim and then exit without saving the game. Try asking on the sims forum?
You don't need to click the checkmark in the bottom corner to save a sim. (I'm assuming that's what you were doing but tell me if I'm worng pls.) In the top right corner there is a folder button, and that is a save button.
Oh really? Thank goodness! I will try this next time! I like to make characters from games and what i'm currently working on has literally over 100 characters so I can't make them all in one household, this is a lifesaver...
