Going out tomorrow,Need tips.

Going out tomorrow to an easter egg hunt, it's kinda rare cause i barely go out for socializing (got social anxiety)

So it's a welcomed change plus i get to meet new people, idk how to act though, any tips are welcomed!

Have lots of fun and find as many Easter eggs as possible! If you start to feel anxious just excuse yourself and take a small break before rejoining the fun.

It's great that you're getting out for the day. You know some old people, you might meet some new people.

Hopefully the weather will be great!

If you know where it's happening, estimate the possible range of the area in which the hunt will take place. Take notes of the geographical landmarks, layout of the land, notable bodies of water, trails, obstructions, hills, possible vantage points, and direction and area covered by sunlight at different times of the day. Then try to determine optimal and if you have the time, sub-optimal places in which the eggs could be hidden. Focus not only on the areas of cover offered by the area, but also get in the mind of whoever will be hiding the egg, imagine where they might hide them. Prepare portable and reusable traps that can be hidden easily to use against your competitors, Don't forget to gather the necessary tools and weapons you'll need before leaving for the hunt, but keep this hidden on yourself to avoid unwanted attention.

Never forget - victory lies in preparation. I know you'll crush those weak, untrained scum like fly swatters to flies.

Honestly? Just breathe. Dont set expectations that you'll meet someone or a new best friend and instead work on that social anxiety. Think up light chit chat questions (Plans after the easter egg hunt? etc) and even though you might get discouraged if people don't want to talk or walk away - remind yourself that its okay. Don't blame yourself for saying something stupid or fumbling with words - we all started somewhere.

Is it an adult easter egg hunt or for your kids or are you just younger and super lucky because I miss the days of easter egg hunting.

Hah, that sounds amazing! You are welcome and best of luck. I actually learned how to juggle with hidden plastic easter eggs - give it a shot if you get really bored.

Do

  • Find eggs

  • Say hi

  • Wear clean underwear and socks

Don't

  • Talk politics

  • Lick people without asking first

  • punch children and steal their eggs

Really though, have fun and even if it's uncomfortable to be in that setting, make the most of it and push your boundaries a little bit. Don't be afraid to excuse yourself or take a rest if your anxiety kicks in. You'll have fun and maybe give us an update

If I were in your shoes, I would just focus on finding the eggs. If someone says hi, I would just say hi too. Also have lots of fun.
