Trying to optimize my Companion Pass

Okay, so I booked a few flights for my friend's and I on a trip to MCO using my RR, but everything is rather splintered from multiple bookings. There are four reservations right now, all on the same two flights:

  • A: For passengers 1 and 2 to MCO
  • B: P1,2,3 from MCO
  • C: P4 to MCO
  • D: P4 from MCO

There are a few issues I'd like to address:

  1. I'd kinda like to combine A/C and B/D so that they all appear in my RR acct. This should be trivial by calling WN in my understanding.

  2. I'd like to make P2 my companion, I'm not concerned about total seat availability, so I have no reason to think I couldn't get a companion ticket issued. However, what complicates everything is...

  3. One of P4's flights was booked at a higher price than P2's. So, and ideal situation would be me adding P2 as my companion, but getting P4's RR fares back.

Possible Solutions?

If I cancelled P2's flight, would a seat at the same price open up for me to book P4 in? (Then I would cancel P4's original flight and add P2 as my comp)

or

If I combine the reservations by calling in and then cancel P2's flights will it automatically refund the highest fare on the ticket?

or

Do I suck it up and lose out on a few RR?

Thanks for the help, guys!

So. This is a little hard for me to comprehend at the moment. But I'm gonna try and answer a couple of these the best I can..

Reservations can't be combined. You would have to cancel and rebook everyone on the same reservation at the current applicable fare.

Each passenger is ticketed st their own price so canceling them cancels the price of their ticket only.

Canceling a passenger does not guarantee the fare will be available as the pricing blocking will change based on date sometimes.

Let me know if you have more questions. Or I missed some.
