Hey, I'm totally new to DnD, but I'm interested in picking it up. I'd really like to try playing with any group or store or whatever that might have me. I'm a long time player of PC rpgs but have little experience with trpgs. Looking to meet people and play what seems like a really fun game.

If you check Meetup.com there's now 2 different groups where people gather. There's the Wasatch Tabletop RPGamer Group and the Salt Lake Tabletop and RP. Wasatch expecially has weekly games open to new players.
I run a Dungeon World game I advertise through Wasatch, but we're currently full. However if you are interested, I'd be happy to contact you if/when a spot opens up.
I can Dm however I'm only available in the mornings. If we can get 3-5 people for a local game that would be sweet.
I am in Ogden which is close. I DM a 5e group right now most of the people are solid but if a spot opens up I will message you
Tight, I spend a lot of time in Ogden cause I have some friends there, pm me if anything ever opens up
I'm also in the SLC area, unfortunately I dont have a schedule that works well with offline stuff, or long term campaigns, but I do know that game shops like Game Haven are good places to find a group. And I believe the UofU has some groups, maybe you could join one of them. Best of luck! Let me know if you find anything!
