Alright, guys. Been playing for a couple weeks, now. Burning my way up to 60, hoping to get there this weekend. My favourite thing about MMOs has always been the speed grind to max level and then gearing/costumes/extras.
What kind of extras can you think of that I might not find in a simple Google search, that are totally worth the time sink?
It can be anything, mounts, vanity items, favorite side quests, you name it.

mounts/glamours/dances/hairstyle/minion obtained via MGP purchases from Gold Saucer.
Go for relic and anima weapons. You should be able to get an anima before expansion starting from scratch and it'll be one of the best weapon.

There are some side quests mentioned in here like Hildibrand, Delivery Moogle, the Beast Tribe quests that can lead to glamour items and mounts etc. There's so much to do, it really depends on what you're in the mood for I would say :)
I would recommend the Field Commander's set, but good luck getting Seal Rock to pop at all.

Something more attainable, the Racing Chocobo mask; achievement item from getting a rank 9 racing chocobo I believe
I have my commanders set in storage since about a year ago. It's not very pretty IMO ;(
Pretty is a matter of opinion but I really love the helmet, and the boots bring my MCH glamour together, I don't like the other boots with spurs nearly as much.
