[ModEvent] Europe Under Attack!

Small Mod Event

A series of coordinated terrorist attacks have left Europe in disarray. The attacks originally claimed to have been taken out by a Islamic extremists, is completely false. In fact most of the attacks were committed by citizens of non-Arabic races. The possibility of these attacks being racially motivated is still be investigated.

The attacks which took place in 5 countries, with some small attacks taking place elsewhere. The only major European country not struck was the United Kingdom, and none can say why. The attacks were the worst in Greece, where nearly 1,000 people are dead or fatally injured, nearly three times that are injured but not fatally. A summary of the attacks follows below.

Romania

The Romanian Athenaeum is a ornate and complex concert hall in the center of Bucharest Romania. During the attacks a concert held by the "George Enescu Philharmonic", a bomb was carried into the concert hall, presumably in an instrument case. The only problem was at some point it was passed to an audience member. This audience member ran from presumable the third row, on the left side, to the stage and threw the instrument case onto the stage. The explosion killed 43 members of the Philharmonic and threw fragmentation into the audience killing another 3 people.

It is believed the police may have also been participating in the attacks, to a certain degree. It took the Bucharest police nearly half an hour to send even a single officer. A series of shootings have also taken place across Bucharest. They took place at the National Bank of Romania resulting in 83 deaths, the Palace of Justice resulting in 5 deaths, including one the Justices of the Romanian National Courts, every Museum in the city was struck by attackers, one of them screaming death to the EU, those attacks resulted in 147 deaths. Romania having just lost 181 citizens is in disarray.

Greece

The attacks were by far the worst in Greece. Nearly 18,000 people were protesting the economic polices of the current President. A video released by Interpol shows what seems to be improvised grenades being thrown into the crowds of protesters. The attackers who numbered in the 30s had caught a large mass of protesters in a tight packed street north of the city center, in the neighbor hood of Peterestias. Using Belgian P90s, Remington shotguns, and various pistols, the attackers were able to gun down hundreds of protesters before the police arrived in enough strength to stop them. The attacks used improvised grenades, and their small arms to engage in combat with the police for almost 45 minutes. Ultimately the attackers took their lives or were killed by the police. A full casualty list for Greece has not yet been released, but it exceeds 700.

Germany

The areas of Germany that are primarily Polish saw the worst of the attacks on German territory. In the city of Poznan the police station, city hall, and high school were all bombed. The German national police were ineffectual in responding, taking nearly an hour to reach Poznan with any real numbers to retaliate to further attacks.

While only 32 Poles, and 14 Germans died, the real problem has been the massive protests in Poland. Across those territories Germany annexed there has been violence between the two ethnic groups like never before. Nearly 20 Germans residing in these territories have been murdered, all because the Poles believed them to be the perpetrators in the attacks. Interpol and the German Police have yet to apprehend anyone for any of the crimes, including the attacks.

France

French Police were the quickest to respond, and the most effective. A French police officer saw a man attempting to throw something towards a crowd at the foot of the Eiffel tower. The officer tackled the man and took what turned out to be an improvised grenade. By the time the other French attackers had begun their attack the area was crawling with Police. The attackers killed 1 police officer and 3 civilians. The casualties could have been much more if not for the keen officer.

Italy

The attacks in Rome were particularly heinous, as they seemed to exclusively focus religion, and children. Three highschools in Rome were struck by two man attack teams. 28 school children are dead with nearly 3 times that wounded. A further 15 teachers have been killed. Four men and one woman were apprehended trying to scale the walls of the Vatican. It can only be assumed they were attempting to kill or attack the Pope.

Analysis

Interpol, and National Police have not been able to identify the true motive of these terrorists. They have seemed motivated by nationalism, racism, religion, they also seem to just wish the people of Europe ill will. Many of the attackers were nationals of the countries they were attacking, with many of them even being former military, or police. The Romanian attack against the Opera is believed to have the police as participants, possibly. The attacks have claimed thousands of lives, and have not been claimed by any organization. The attacks may have been financially related as the attacks in Romania and Greece come after controversial economic policies were enacted.
