Elderman's advice: Wear Earplugs. My choice on noise reduction...

My ears started to ring shortly after getting deeper into music about 10 years ago. I didn't think much of it, until after one concert when it wouldn't stop. The next concert and every one thereafter, I had some sort of earplugs with me. (At the time, my friends made fun of me, the now wear earplugs too.) I wanted to ensure I can continue listening to music forever.

I started with hollowed out shooting earplugs, then heros, a few other pairs from swimming, ETY-HiFi plugs, and have finally landed on comply foam tip plugs. I like the comply foam tips because they’re comfortable, do not add any “bounce” noise when I move around (think about the cheap rubber tip earbuds you might try to take for a run…) you can change them out, and they’re easy to get in/out. A few others in my crew like Dubs - I think it’s worth it to test a few and see.

This article really helped me learn more about it, too. The graph helps. There are a handful of other resources out there. Take care of your body and it will take care of you!
