Got a confession?

So idk just making this thread if y'all wanna confess something, be it super small or etc

for me, my confession is that i rly like this band called Ghost but their lyrics are kinda satanic and i'm kinda religious, but i don't mind cause it's not hurting anyone i suppose.

I love Ghost too but I feel like the Satanism part is mostly for shits and giggles. Mostly because it's really over the top.

Oh yeah it feels totally tongue in cheek, it's so funny seeing hardcore religious ppl get offended by them though

Aleister Crowley wrote a whole book on over the top ritual theatrics in Satanism. Good read for some insight as to how neo pagans and Satanists view their eccentric behavior.

When I was younger, I used to like gargling pudding before swallowing it for some reason. I miss those snack packs.

That's.. unique?

occams_butterknifeβ€’

Yeah, I was a weird kid. I'm mostly normal now. Mostly.

I can actually kinda relate to that.

I used to swish pudding around in my mouth much longer than nessecary until it was completely liquefied and then i let run down the back of my throat.

Pudding is great.

When I was younger, my grandma told me the reason why bald people have shiny heads is that they used floor wax as their shampoo. During that time, I genuinely believed that.

slutttttβ€’

At age 11, I wrote Jaleel White (Urkel) a 3 page fan letter, professing my love to him. A few months later, he/ABC sent me an autographed postcard with his picture on the front. But my love for him had already faded (I moved on to Usher).

I was a very awkward and weird preteen/teenager.

You must look back on that and be all "Did I do that??"

Oy vey. But basically.

I like Ghost, too! But I am also a Satanist so it's not much of a confession. I also really like Taylor swifts country songs, and when I'm not punk rocking I like to watch the opry.

3
SpaciousCondorOPHere for everyone if you want to talk <3β€’

That's rad , i personally don't get the hate y'all get, ppl still think satanism is just sacrificing kids and shit smh.

yeah T Swift is catchy af, shame she isn't on spotify anymore.

2
GalliusZedβ€’

Yeah, most people would.never be able to tell just by looking at me. I'm a little "alternative" but I put my jeans and flannel on just like every other dude ever. I also have a very broad definition of my Satanism, meaning I don't really subscribe to everything Anton lavey wrote about, but we sure do share some ideals. I also totally keep a creepy altar with bones and stuff on it, but I've never sacrificed anything on my altar but donuts to my own mouth.

2
SpaciousCondorOPHere for everyone if you want to talk <3β€’

I'm the same with Catholics, i don't subscribe to everything(im very pro lgbt, not a fan of priests and other stuff conservative catholics would hate) , but some things i agree w them.

Poor donuts! what did they do to you mate ;P

2
GalliusZedβ€’

I find religion to be terribly personal...it doesn't matter to me if someone is a catholic or a Satanist or a Taoist or a Muslim, I care about their actions, not their beliefs.

Whenever i get a double cheese burger, I take out one of the burgers and eat it like a biscuit.

2
SpaciousCondorOPHere for everyone if you want to talk <3β€’

That's nasty

Nah kidding, i also do that with homemade burgers, one in the bun, other like that

JustKeepSwimmingDoryHi there :)β€’

I have a huge confession to make

Ready to hear it? Here it is:

My confession is... I have never watched Star Wars o.o

2
aboxfullofdoomDare to ask me about DnDβ€’

Now, I say this as a looong time Star Wars fan.

I don't get what the big deal about not having watched Star Wars is. Or Lord of the Rings for that matter. If you didn't when they were novel and relevant, you probably don't have much reason to watch them now.

I might be a little bit too big of a fan of a certain podcast. I'll listen to episodes multiple times. If I'm going through a hard time I'll put on repeats. It's harmless enough, it's just weird to say that a stupid little podcast has helped me more than a psychologist ever has is very strange to me.

2
aboxfullofdoomDare to ask me about DnDβ€’

Ehhh....

Not that weird.

I watch Critical Role, where each episode is roughly 3-5 hours long.

I rewatched the archive up to episode 50 twice.

I don't know where I got the time to do that from.

I used to be a heavily involved christian in high school. Youth group and church every week and retreats and whatnot. Even went on a mission trip to Guatemala last summer.

When I joined college last fall, I made it a priority to find a youth group to be involved in, so I tested the waters with various groups until I found one that I loved. Fast forward a few months and I started going less and less and eventually I just lost interest in Christianity all together. I'm not sure what happened to make that fall through for me like that.

I haven't gone to church since winter break, didn't really celebrate Easter (did homework all day), and haven't made an effort to connect with God. I don't even really feel bad about it anymore, I just feel kind of lost. I'm not full on atheist, but I also haven't fully let go of whatever values I had. So yeah, that's where I'm at right now.

Sexy_Koala_Juiceβ€’

To preface this i'm not bipolar but in this very moment (and only this moment) i am both incredibly happy but incredibly sad. Very recently my love life has been very lackluster but i've been content with it all, i have great friends and i know one day i'll find someone who loves me but someone just replied to a comment of mine in a thread telling me all about how he and i are kindred spirits and it'll be ok and it i'll admit i shed a few tears, but i don't know why.

this isn't very structured well but my emotions are everywhere right now, i'm both happy and sad.

aboxfullofdoomDare to ask me about DnDβ€’

Everyone I know assumes I'm an atheist when I could be more accurately be described as an agnostic.

Even more accurate would be saying that I don't think my faith needs to adhere to any preexisting idea to be valid in terms of spiritual belief, but I gave up on explaining that to people.
