porcelain cliff

when you dig your knees
into the sands
over above the porcelain cliff
and lean over
looking in
how do you feel
what are you thinking about
do you feel the vines
hugging your abdomen
chest tightening
ribs cracking
cellulose threads in your mouth
do they taste like acid
does the dust in your eyes
make them red or white
as the winds keeps your head
down
and a soul-distillation
pours out
