Should i come out to my family and friends?

So context: im 18 and Bisexual

While i live in mainly catholic country, most people seem supportive of LGBT Rights

But i'm so scared of the reaction of my family, but i'm sad to keep it inside (only a few friends know) what should i do?

also question to you all, what did you do when you had to confess something?

UPDATE : Told them (Parents) they're accepting!! thank you all for the kind words of support <3 xxx

Hey !

Alright, so I guess my 1st reaction to this would be, "tell them!"

which I still kinda support, because as friends and family, they most definitely care for you and confiding in them would probably make them support you (but thats depending on how open your family & friends are)

if you think they aren't open enough, id say give it some time, ease it in, test the waters and try to understand their reaction to it as well as try to show where you stand on the aspect and maybe then break it to them ?

Honestly there hasn't been much for me to confess lately, its mostly someone finding out on their own before me having to tell :P (e.g - when i 1st started drinking or doing weed ) all though these are just a secret from the family rather than friends.

And also, please know that, if anything atleast we support you ! - your decisions make you. Believe in yourself !

I'd say that if it's eating at you, tell them. You could always start by just telling one person and seeing how they react, and go from there. I'm sure that they'll be supportive of you :)

Glad you came out. Feel better now?

Something that was hard to confess at first was getting in trouble for drinking and driving. Stupid mistake that I learned from but thankfully my family was supportive through that whole mess.

Yeah feel way better!

i'm glad your family was supportive, and i'm glad you realized your mistake, some people just keep drink and driving until someone perishes :/

very costly mistake, still paying for it. It's tough because people like to push the limit until it's too late without even realizing it. Drinking is ok but it gives people a false sense of confidence.

Yep saw it first hand on a late family member , that false sense and the dangers of drinking too much.

i personally don't drink except the occasional one beer can/bottle.

That's good. Before this past weekend, I had not drank in over 2.5 months. I want to be the occasional one and done drinker like my girlfriend is. She claims she's never even gotten drunk.
