[Support] Steam controller triggers not working anymore since the new Steam update.

Hello people,

Well to be exact, I only tested playing Rocket League. The right trigger button doesn't work anymore when trying to accelerate.

It just doesn't register anymore and I have to completely stop pressing the button and pushing it down again. Somebody else with the same problem?

This problem has already occured a couple of days ago, but the easy solution was to just opt out of the steam beta program. Now, there seems no other method to fix it.

I can't remember the exact slider I changed (I'm at work). But it was the "start" trigger? It was dragged way to the right for some reason. I dragged it back to the left about 10% from the furthest left.

It was bugging the shit out of me and I thought my controller was dying for a while and I was getting fucking frustrated.

Edit: after reading that first part, it sounds confusing as hell. But hope that helps. It worked for me after a couple hours of getting pissed lol

Try here. I had the exact same thing happen to me and that fixed it for me .

Same here, changing around the curves in the configuration page doesn't do anything.

Also on RL

EDIT: made it playable again binding the letter G to acceleration and right trigger. It's shit but it works.

RE-EDIT: made it work doing as u/abl00m says, bringing down the first slider under "analog output".

I'll just copy paste what I wrote in this thread.

I had the exact same problem yesterday. I thought to check the settings just now and for some reason, the soft pull point, trigger range start, and trigger range end for the right trigger had changed, while the same settings for the left trigger remained at their default values. I reset the values for those settings for the right trigger and everything went back to normal. I also checked my configs for other games and they seemed unaffected. It's a super strange and really frustrating bug, it annoyed the heck out of me yesterday.

Ugh happened to me too, I use the waxcheeks setup so after adjusting a bunch of stuff and not fixing it I reloaded the setup again to make sure I hadn't messed anything up and same problem. I've moved the half pull slideers and tried changing the soft pull trigger style but it still doesn't act right - I can get any amount of acceleration 0 to 100% with the trigger 99% pulled(everything but the final click) just by varying the pressure and the trigger not moving at all.

edit* okay i had been changing the soft pull point, seems I had to adjust trigger range as well - seems to be fixed(maybe, thought I fixed it before in practice then it borked in ranked matches)

It seems to work just fine, have you tried turning on trigger analog output?
