Just defeated a 36 enemy orc camp without losing a single man.
15+ orc young, 3 berserkers, 10+ warriors, and a warlord against my 3 great swords, 1 axe duelist, 3 sheildbros with hammers, 4 bowmen, and 1 bannerman. By pure luck, I engaged an orc horde in a swamp on quite possibly the perfect terrain. All but one of my men were on solid ground while at least half of their units were restricted to swampy ground. Was able to pick off their berserkers plus 3 young before they even reached my front line, then the absolute clusterfuck of clashing metal began to ring in the murky air. Their young charged in, stunning my frontline so they could get into position. Slowly I began to cut them down, only to have another charge in to stun my men again and again. As their numbers thinned, the faint hearted began to run for safety but their warlord wasn't having it, with a menacing roar they realized that a quick death at the hands of my skilled warriors was preferable to what their leader would do to them if he survived to know they had been cowards. Though their arrows hardly put a scratch in the warriors armor, my bowmen aided the frontline considerably by overwhelming their forces with a constant barrage of metal rain. In the end, realizing that this puny band of humans had managed to slay all but three of this warlord's army, he tried to flee only to be beheaded by Siegfried the executioner. As the bloodlust left my men's eyes, I felt like a complete badass. Their first real test of mettle and they passed with flying colors. A special mention to Gunther the Conqueror for taking on 4 orc warriors at the same time, skillfully swinging his great sword and dancing between their brutish hacking of cleavers and axes in order to protect his weaker ranged brothers only 2 steps away.
