Does anyone else feel like they are 'coming up' when manic?
Background (can skip this): So i've been manic for a long time, like 10 months not sleeping even every day. Diagnosed for 4 months, Seroquel didn't work and Lithium isn't working either, adding Lamotrigine Friday..who knows if i'll ever come down and sleep. It's felt like forever and my P Doc suggested this is not normal, although i've read some cases of it lasting this long...getting intense, i've 'mixed state' so not great.
What happened: The other night (this has happened 3 times now) I felt as if I was coming up all of a sudden, my anxiety went up and I was 10x more manic for the rest of the day, my pupils went huge, basically it's like someone slipped me 4 E's, I hate to mention drugs but i've no other way of even describing it and it wasn't fun. My mum this time was in the same house and she said it was if someone flipped a switch, she even commented that my eyes had suddenly dilated a lot.
Question: Just me? Has anyone like literally felt like there brain has like all of a sudden poured a huge amount of chemicals at once into the mix and flicked a switch? Like I felt High and was talking continuously...
I just dunno if that experience of an instant 'UP' is normal or has anyone else experienced this? i'd ask my Physiatrists but my cat answers more questions than he does.
Thanks for reading, any insight would be lovely
