Double Standards on Sailor Moon Crystal and the 4 Heavenly Kings

So in case you don't know, Sailor Moon has a second anime adaptation called Sailor Moon Crystal that is mostly closer to the manga then the first anime which was extremely different. I actually like it.

One of the plot points of Crystal that actually is different then the manga is that the 4 Guardian Senshi were paired with the 4 Heavenly Kings in their past life, the 4 Heavenly Kings (Shitennou) being the first real enemies of the series. A lot of people are calling this "sexist" (because.....apparently the Senshi loving men and wanting to not hurt them in combat is bad?) and homophobic (Because it confirms all the Guardian Senshi like boys which apparently goes against peoples' headcanons on their sexual orientations). I am...not into agreement about this.

However, this is often compared to something in the second arc where the Guardian Senshi fight the 4 Ayakashi Sisters, a team of 4 villainess. Their is supposedly a sexist double standard where the Senshi try and redeem the Shitennou but just kill the Ayakashi cause the former is male and the latter is female.

I CAN NOT STAND this claim. It completely ignores everything else about what's happening. The Shitennou were 4 Noble Knights who guarded the Prince Endymion but were brainwashed by the Sorceress Beryl. Meanwhile the Ayakashi were 4 Members of the Black Moon Clan of (from what we can tell) their own free will, who were a religious terrorist organization dedicated to destroying the future kingdom because "immortality is against God's will". The fact that one side is brainwashed into doing evil and yet are reviled as deserving death and no love, while one is considered worthy of redemption and forgiveness despite choose to do unrepentant evil (including Koan burning a little girl to death) showcases a double standard people have on who should and should not be redeemable. Personally I blame the First Anime which made the Shitennou way more evil, and made the Ayakashi Sisters helpless emotionally manipulated and abused women from their Male General Rubeus.
