In a funk

Hi. I'm somewhat new to reddit. I mainly lurk... don't really contribute much. Not that I really have anything to say. Still not sure where to begin, or what to expect from creating this post.

A couple years back I was diagnosed with depression, went on meds for a while and have been off them for about a year and a half. Pretty sure my depression is genetic as well as situational. Lately, I've been feeling the familiar dark cloud creeping back above my head. Started a new job about a month ago - first full time job - and it's really hard adjusting to the time commitment of 9 - 5 Monday through Friday. Frankly, it fucking sucks. On top of this, my mind plagues me with awful, irrational thoughts. These thoughts just bring me deeper into my funk. I'd like to honestly fade away, not have any responsibilities or have anyone depend or expect anything from me. I don't want to die, I just don't want to exist... if that makes sense.

I've been in a funk. Very unmotivated. Very hateful. Uninterested in everything I used to find enjoyment out of - the tall tale signs and symptoms of depression. I guess I'd just like to know what are some useful coping mechanisms that have worked for any of you?
