[Sound Bug] During Rain game

I was playing last night and was lucky enough to get a rain game. Once I landed and got into my first building the sound of the rain went away completely. I only was able to hear the random thunder strikes. this essentially gave me an advantage of being able to hear the footsteps outside. Unfortunately I wasn't recording at the time of the error.
