Post Workout Hanger???
So this seems to be a common pattern and I'm hoping someone has a suggestion. Every day I go to work and fast til lunch (usually 11-12) and either eat my whole lunch then or split it and eat the second half 3 or so hours later. I drink electrolyte water throughout the day, as well as a bunch of normal water. Then I come home and go to a bikram yoga session at around 6, while drinking electrolyte water in class. Upon returning from that session I'm noticing I'm extremely happy/feels good from the workout but am also irritable as f*ck and am liable to murder my fiance.
Ridiculous responses I've given include:
- "Stop being nice and asking me about my day, you're distracting me from thinking about my food while I watch it take an eternity to cook"
- "Don't get all lovey dovey, it's restricting my arms from shoving bacon in my face".
- "Why the hell are you using my kitchen when I want to use it?"
Things I'm going to try:.
- Eat a snack before workout (maybe a small IIFYM apple or something easy to digest).
- Eat a snack immediately after class before driving home, probably a small protein shake (160cal, 30g protein).
- Maybe move to a later evening class and have dinner first, though I've had issues in the past with this due to being too full as well as having a hard time sleeping after.
Any other ideas?
