Who wants to talk to a Dutch freelance writer about the American identity in today's USA?

I'm a Dutch freelance writer currently traveling the U.S. I write about what I see, but mostly I write the stories of people I meet. I'm interested in hearing how they look at the USA today. Be it their jobs, politics, or other topics relevant to them. I want to collect as many perspectives as possible on the American identity. I'm in Portland between 4-7 May 2017. Any suggestions for potential interviewees are very much appreciated. Examples of articles: www.vanwerschwrites.com.
