Audio output selection coming?

Just got the echo dot and was sad to find that, with the 3.5mm output, there was no way to select your audio output. I suggested settings in the setup to indicate where you would like output to go (e.g. Spotify to 3.5mm line out or Prime Music to Bluetooth).

I know that this is mostly form letter but they are at least providing some hope. Below is part of the response I got from Amazon (Bolding mine)

Hello <xxx>,

This is Tulsi from Amazon Alexa Support.

I'm so sorry for the trouble you've had hearing Alexa even though your receiver was on.

To help you with this, I've checked with my resources and I'd like to inform that as of now, there are no skills to output via a certain audio channel. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

However to help you with this and make sure your comments are heard, I've personally taken it as feedback and forwarded your message up to our Alexa Development team for consideration. I'm sure that they'll surely look into this matter and come up with the possible options available for a setting on each configured service under "Music & Books" which will indicate where the sound should go.

We are trying very hard to establish ourselves as a successful Echo store and can assure you of numerous changes in very near future which will enable us to achieve our goal.

Your feedback and suggestions are very important for us to make sure we improve the product where it lacks or to be rectified so that, it gives better performance to our Alexa customers so that you may make the best use of it enjoy it to the utmost.

Please be assured, once this feature is made available and which I think it might be in the near future, we'll let you know through the best medium of notification via email.

Here's to hoping we see some of these changes soon.
