[DIPLOMACY]The Secret Life of Arabia -

DIPLOMACY

The Middle East is, once again, trending towards supernational union. The so-called Kingdom of Phoenicia is still in its infancy, however it represents and constitutes a greater threat than the MEC ever did. Where the MEC was a rational, if expansionist actor, the Kingdom of Phoenicia is an unknown quantity containing two distinct and thoroughly incompatible ethnic groups, led by a leadership which has made highly erratic and unjustifiable moves throughout its existance.

Can we, or should we, forget the Israeli invasion of the Sinai, without warning, during coalition action in Egypt? Can we forget Israeli aggression towards Syria just five years ago? Can we forget the plot of the Lebanese government to, without warning, intervene in the Cypriot crisis militarily?

This Kingdom encompasses Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, and now Syria. It is a highly combustable nuclear power that has demonstrated its willingness to militarise and act outside the norms of international relations.

This threat must be contained, and, if needed, neutralised, before it dominates the Middle East. Already Syria, a key Russian ally, has fallen under their sway. We do not intend to let this become status quo, and we do not intend to let them bring into their fold other nations such as Arabia or Egypt, our key ally in the Middle East.

We are not prone to hyperbole, but we find that this represents the greatest threat to European influence in the Middle East, and to peace in the region as a whole, that we have seen since the days of mass Jihad.

We would like to directly consult with Russia about the developing situation. We believe that key regional partners, such as Turkey (Provided they are not subject to another unforseen coup) should also be brought into discussions if we agree on a common position. Time is of the uptmost importance.
