HTTPS to HTTPS Redirect

Hi All,

I'm trying to redirect traffic going to an internal site 'https://something/' to 'https://something.customdomain.com' due to renewing the SSL cert on the site. There are a number of users with the original site bookmarked, so the preference is to have the shortened URL redirect.

Is there a clean way to redirect all HTTPS traffic using Apache from one domain to another? I'm finding a lot of information on how to do HTTP to HTTPS, but not HTTPS to HTTPS.

Edit: Port 443 was in use by another application running on the host, which is what was causing these headaches. I changed the port for the app and it fixed the issue. Thank you all for your responses!
