Parasonic 25mm lense not zooming?

Hi,

I'm pretty new to this. So I apologise If this is a silly question.

With my purchase of the Lumiz G7, I also got the Panasonic Lumix G 25MM Lens.

However, when I turn the dial on the lens, nothing happens.

Can anybody tell we whether this is normal, or that I could actually have a faulty lens?

Thanks.
