I'm a Ryze Main, and I just had a terrible game against a Twisted Fate

I had him handled in lane, but he roamed and got kills elsewhere. He carried his team so hard, and there was nothing I could do to counter him. Me trying to keep up with his roams made my CS horrendous. Does anyone have any feedback for how to deal with something like that as a Ryze, or just as an immobile mage against TF in general?
