Escort cards but no place cards?

What do you guys think?

I originally was going to do just escort cards (cards that indicate what table you will be seating at) and no place cards, so people can choose where they want to sit around that table. Everyone is getting the same meal, EXCEPT for one vegetarian cousin.

Now I'm double guessing myself. We have 115 people coming. Is this weird? Are people going to be confused?

I'm thinking of putting a sign at the table where you get your place cards saying something about how you can sit wherever you want around the table, but I'm not sure how to word it (or if this is even a good idea).

I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts =)
