Should I rent out my home or sell it?

Hello Reddit,

Pretty straight forward question. I purchased the home in June 2016. Unforeseen circumstances have me moving from Tallahassee to Jacksonville, FL. Would it be a smarter decision to list the house and try to sell it, or would it make more sense to rent it out. It's about 2 1/2 hours away from where I will be living. It is an older home so there is the possibility of issues arising with the house. Not sure what other information I should provide here. Thanks for taking the time to read and help out.
