College Student Sneaker Advice

So I have approximately $120 to spend on sneakers and I need some help deciding what to get. For reference I am 6 foot medium build college student in Michigan. I want shoes I can wear with most outfits but also open to some color depending on which of the two options you'd recommend. I prefer low tops/ mid. I really do not like shoes that appear bulky and very wide like Jordan's or Timberlands.

OPTION 1 Buy a pair of white converse or vans (I can't decide which) that I can beat up and a second pair of saucony classics with some color.

OPTION 2 Buy 1 nicer pair of adidas or Nike that go with most outfits. P.S. With adidas I have 20% discount code Also I heard today Allbirds is really nice cannot confirm so if you have any experience please share.
