What primer do you enjoy most with the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation?

So I bought this Tarte foundation after doing a lot of research and looking up a lot of reviews by people with similar combo skin like me (dry around my cheeks and nose, oily on my forehead and chin but with summer coming up my oil is in overdrive). I loved it when I bought it back in Novemeber, it looked great with and without primer applied with a beauty blender...

But now, maybe it's the heat and humidity, but it looks like shit now honestly no matter what I do. I've tried it with Becca's Backlight Priming Filter, Smashbox primer, Porefessional, Smashbox Primer Water (yeah I know this foundation is deceivingly silicone based despite the name but tried it anyway), with Nivea's post shave balm, and with nothing. The foundation just looks patchy and sometimes balls up on my face as soon as I apply it. I've tried waiting as long as 30 minutes after applying my primer but the same results.

Maybe it's my moisturizer? I've been using the Cerave in the tub for about a year, but it's run out and I'm waiting on an oil-free moisturizer in the mail so maybe that will help.

BUT, what are your favorite products to use with this specific foundation? Any advice is welcome :)
