Did Smoking Cigarettes cause my/your MS?

Anybody prior to their 1st episode and up to their MS Diagnosis smoked cigarettes? I was diagnosed with MS at 30 y/o and quit smoking after 15 years. I've heard smoking can be linked or offset the MS gene or cause MS and confirmed it worsens MS. I'd like to hear from you. I know smoking is BAD harmful and kills , please just post comments related to my text. Thanks
