[Discussion] Isn't it a waste to save your WC for the last few weeks of the season?

In February I used my wildcard to optimize my team going forward instead of burning lots of points to make my transfers, and I feel it paid off. Several others in my league continually burn points on transfers while still holding on to their WC, and continue to play "sub-optimal" players to do so...

I understand if you are happy with your team and want to wait to capitalize on the double game weeks, but isn't it worth strengthening your team earlier for many more weeks with better players versus saving the WC to have only a few good weeks?
