A question for men and vent about feels

Okay. This is my vent but I'm also curious.

Emotional, long distance AP. We talk everyday, whenever we can and share everything with each other. This has been going on for months and we finally have made arrangements to meet.

So here we are. This long, slow, steady buildup to us finally being together and he has the emotional expression of a potato. Maybe worse than a potato because eating French fries always makes me feel loved.

Obviously he wants this. I mean, would you stick with someone for almost a year without meeting them if you weren't sure? However, I am feeling really insecure about the risks and effort taken to fly to each other when I'm not hearing how over the moon he is about me and all of this. It's weird. No explosion or gush or verbal cues. Not even a bunch of fucking exclamation points.

Almost a year, people! We finally get to meet for three days of nonstop sex and togetherness and feelings and oh my Christ! It's what we have been moving toward and it's all I can think about.

Why isn't he showing me his excitement?
