It is ethnic so not kosher? Maybe...

is there any way to verify if a foreign food litems might be kosher even without a hechsher?

esp. food items from areas with tiny Jewish populations like africa and asia. I'm talking about things like fufu flour or tteok, pickles and dried veggies. maybe the chabad sliach (if there's one) of the country would know?

ETA: in europe, there are apps that allow you to know if something is kosher without a hechsher or even some rabbis visit the factory and verify.

sure, some people might even not eat these items but for those of who are foreigners, becoming observant shouldn't mean giving up on important elements in identity and eating only us/canadian centric ashkhenazim kosher stuff
