Limited outcomes for this situation

I just finished this most recent episode, and haven't had a chance yet to read through other posts. If this has already been addressed somewhere, just let me know.

It seems to me there are limited outcomes for this Chuck v Jimmy situation. We know that Jimmy does not get disbarred (at least that is my understanding due to his still practicing law as SG). So that means one of two things- he either beats Chuck in court, or finds leverage over Chuck to get him to drop charges.

My girlfriend asked if Chuck were to die suddenly...would that effect the trial. I'm inclined to think no because they still have the PI and Hamlin there as witnesses. Do I have that part right?

Are there any other potential outcomes here besides the two (beating Chuck, leveraging Chuck) that I laid out?
