Messed up my neck this morning
32y/o male:
Getting out of the shower today I noticed my bathroom was full of steam. I forgot to turn on the ventilation fan to prevent this. Oh well, I'll just reach over to the nearby window to open that and let out some steam. I could literally hear a crunch / squish noise in my head and I knew I was going to be screwed.
Its been about 5 hours and it still feels really painful if I move in the wrong fashion. I ate 600mg of ibuprofen a couple hours ago. Tried icing it as well. Its strange because it doesn't feel too bad but if I move too quickly or something it feels like my neck is spasming and I throbs for like 10-15 seconds (feels like an eternity) and I feel like I could pass out from the pain.
I actually screwed my back up like this about 5 months ago where I got a spasm in the morning and had to call out of work for a couple days but I just kept taking ibuprofen and was ok after a while. Is this worth getting checked out or is the doc just going to charge me 1k for an ER visit and tell me to lay down and eat ibuprofen? I feel like most of these types of problems, once the swelling goes down and the body has time to heal a bit you're good to go.
