How to get back a lost wallet.

So, a friend and I went to Japan for the first time two weeks ago. We spent most of the time in Tokyo, but also saw several other cities like Kyoto, Kobe, and Hiroshima. For the few who don't know, the JR pass is priceless. Would 100% go again.

On our last day in Tokyo, we're hustling to the airport because we forgot how long it actually took to get from Kawasaki to Narita. In our rush, his backpack opened up in the middle of Kawasaki Station and spilled out. In the process of getting everything together... he lost his wallet. Driver's license, money, credit cards, the works. Gone. Didn't even notice it until we landed back in the US. Oh well, that's life.

Cut to two weeks later, he gets his mail... and there's the wallet... with everything in it. EVERYTHING. If I didn't see it, I wouldn't have believed it. If I left a pair of headphones on the plane, I'd never see them again. He loses his wallet in Japan, and it shows up in his mailbox 2 weeks later. It was just so crazy that I had to share it with someone.

TL;DR - The key to getting back a wallet you've lost overseas, is to lose it in Japan. The people are as awesome as the country!
