Interesting Gem of True Sight Idea

In Dota 2, the ultra late-game (70+ minutes) can get extremely volatile. At this stage, vision is incredibly important. Supports will find that they finally have money to buy the more expensive utility items, and wealthy cores will be 6-slotted with buyback, allowing them to purchase consumables (wards, smokes, gems, and even moon shards) for other players.

In many cases, the risk of losing an item like Gem of True Sight to the enemy team is too high, and teams that are behind in gold or that have invis heroes will be less likely to use it. I had an idea for a consumable gem with a high cost but also powerful effect. It's not useful in games that do not reach the ultra late-game, but in games that do, it has some tactical uses, especially when an overfarmed core hero buys one for his support.

The potion will require three items. Bottle + Gem of True Sight + Moon Shard. It will grant True Sight as a buff to the player and prevent their vision from being reduced during the night for the duration. The potion does not drop on death and has 3 uses like bottle, each of which last 1 minute (maybe more). The empty bottle can be re-used to make another potion by adding another Gem to it, but can no longer be used to bottle runes.

It's balanced because Gem restocks every 10 minutes, so it's a tactical decision whether or not to actually turn one into a potion. Additionally, while it does have a high initial cost, it only requires 900 gold to replenish so it has strong long term utility. It allows for more risk-free usage of True Sight, but turns it into a 5560 gold consumable item that is only worth it in the late-game. The price paired with the fact that you only get 3 charges every 10 minutes makes it a reasonable trade-off, but shouldn't prevent players from buying Gem of True Sight for regular non-potion usage. Additionally, a gem stolen from the enemy team could also be used in the potion, and a bottle discarded by the mid player could be used as an ingredient as well.

Again I need to stress that this is for the ultra late-game where a support has the money for an item like this, or a core may choose to buy one for support usage. This item would only be situationally useful, but when it is useful, it can provide a massive tactical advantage if used correctly. An item like this would be used purely to decrease the volatility of the ultra late-game stage, allowing the smarter, more coordinated team to gain an advantage.
