Dark discoloration under kitchen sink cabinet - Mold?

Recently purchased a house and discovered this under the sink cabinet (on one of the side kick-boards) after removing some of the cabinet doors. Curious if this is actually mold or maybe the remnants of treatment? There definitely appears to be signs of previous water damage (that has since been repaired). I've definitely seen mold before but nothing that's looked like this. Sorry for the crappy image.
