After an experiment, i have to say, this game has the most consistently toxic community I've ever seen

I normally play LoL, WoW and OW, and I've been playing this game a bit, the 2.0 announcement and some friends got me pretty hyped. I was playing against bots and all that with friends and playing quickmatch and draft and i have been harassed in almost every single game.

I've played a ton the last week or two getting back into it the game and decided to keep track of the games where people harassed me for more than 2 lines or broke down in into argueing with each other.

I made no responses and did not say anything other than thinga for getting objectives, saying the EXACT phrase "lets not get mad at each other and focus on objectives," and saying timers, ect.

Out of 20 games with no provocation and me not following up im arguements at all with a 13/20 winrate here are my findings.

So out of 20 games in...

19 of them people said things like "so bad," "why...." ect

17 of them i was harassed with more than 2 complete sentances of text

11 of them i was told to kill myself

8 of them people broke down into arguments

2 of them people disconnected after an argument (though they might not of been correlated)

2 of them people gave up and started trolling.

3 of them people messaged me after with harassment

4 games where people were silent

AND

2 games where the team spoke with a positive attitude for 10 minutes or longer.

Bear in mind I DID NOTHING, but play normally, focus objectives and politely ask to stop arguing and to focus on objects with an exact phrase i said only once or twice. If people were polite and talked about good things i would respond in kind.

This wasn't even in ranked, which i dont even want to bother with, but seriously.

Again, i play LoL which is a freaking meme for its toxicity and actually popularized the term "toxic" this game in my experience so far is a lot worse. In LoL nowadays at least people cool off and don't go full retard with harassment too often, but people do all the time in this game. It's to the point where I'm starting to thinm all the people who were permabanned from LoL came over to this game.

So finally,

Guys, there are actual people behind the characters you're harassing, keep that in mind, even though "people need to grow a thicker skin," people are still affected by what you say. Every insult degrades people more and more until they lose the desire to play entirely.
