Should I just get my coffee ground at the coffee shop?

So awhile back I went to Intelligentsia in Chicago because it was close to my hotel and had a good review. And honestly, it changed my view on coffee. I've always been a coffee drinker, but I didn't know how good it could be.

So recently I got a V60 and have been brewing pour over coffee. And it was a big upgrade in my mind, even with cheap coffee. I was trying different coffee at the super market and trying different things and I noticed that Lavazza single source was a step up. So that got me thinking about what coffee more.

So I guess I never thought to look up coffee online and now I'm here. I bought some coffee at a local roster pre-ground and I saw something here about stirring during your first pour and am excited to try both.

My question is, is this the best option for me? I'm not in a position to drop 130 on the encore right now, so my option is getting it pre ground locally or buying beans and using a shitty cheapo grinder.
