My case of Fred Flintstone foot makes me choose the wrong shoes every time
I have a 8.5 EE wide foot - well, 9, on one foot actually. I have a good set of work boots, but I hardly ever have a pair of athletic shoes that don't blow out the sides prematurely. I'm looking for something that can protect my feet while hiking or trail.
I'm interested in fit and durability.
I've been told Merrills are decent, but they all look narrow to me. I'll be trying a few on later, but any suggestions will be helpful.
Fun fact: my feet are helpful when performing heel-toe maneuvers in a sports car. For this I am grateful. Most other applications suck.
Any suggestions?
