Android Auto speech doesnt recognize location names anymore?

Im not sure which update it was exactly, but about a month or so ago, in my AA car i would click on the voice command button and say "take me to Dave's" and his address would be pulled up on gmaps and AA would say "all right taking you to Daves, lets go".

But now, when I say that, it doesnt associate the word Dave with Dave the contact on my phone anymore. ive tried this with various contacts and it doesnt work. Even if i save the location on Google maps as a flagged place.

(Work and Home that have been save on gmaps still works fine)

Has anyone experienced this or knows a solution of sorts?
