customer first scheduling

my overnight managers are starting to feel the effects. tonight every single person that works frozen dairy is scheduled off. except for one guy lol i just don't see the logic in having home office do the schedules. to them (or their computers) we're simply WIN numbers. at least the managers in our stores know what person is strongest in what position and they can make a schedule according to that. i'm not sure how this is customer first when neither department is going to get stocked tonight as we are already short handed everywhere. sorry but it makes no sense
